BuzzBallz started as a result of a master’s degree project by Merrilee Kick in Dallas, Texas with the goal of wanting to revolutionize the world of mixed drinks. The idea was to create single serve plastic “cans” – safe for all activities like the beach or pool or camping or tailgating – with drinks prepared like you’d make them at home – with real juice and natural ingredients, plus lots of liquor! She wanted to be able to purchase ‘by the drink’ and have the ability to mix-n-match favorite flavors without being forced to buy a 4-pack. And, lastly, she wanted a good strong drink – not one that was watered down – but one strong enough to put you in the party spirit,…thus BuzzBallz was born!
BuzzBallz are delicious ready-to-drink cocktails served in a unique plastic container that is pool and beach safe and perfect to toss in the cooler for tailgates, boat trips, and camping. BuzzBallz are made with real juice, natural sugar (no high fructose corn syrup), are kosher certified, and are the titans of the ready-to-drink cocktail category available throughout the nation.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
