Schammelsdorf is a part of the municipality of Litzendorf in the Bamberg district and has around 800 residents. It is located in the middle of the “Franconian Tuscany”, as the region around the communities of Litzendorf, Memmelsdorf and Strullendorf is also called. The unique combination of beer, art, culture and hiking make the region an insider tip among Bavarian holiday destinations.
The local Knoblach brewery, which has been brewing excellent Franconian beers at the foot of the Stammberg since 1880, is widely known and loved. Four types of beer are available all year round: unspun lager, Räuschla, dark country beer and Hefeweizen. Twice a year there is also a strong beer, the winter and fasting drink, as well as a special festival beer for the Schammelsdorf Beer Days.
The Beer Days are a very special highlight in the region’s event calendar, attracting visitors from near and far to Schammelsdorf over the Whitsun weekend. In addition to the festival beer, there are Franconian specialties and various party bands ensure a lively atmosphere.

She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
