Since 1999, Gatz beer has been brewed in Northern Germany. That year, Carlsberg acquired the brand and moved production to one of its sites – specifically, to the Holsten Brewery AG. Gatzweiler Vertriebs GmbH no longer exists. However, the traditional Altbier of that name is still available. It’s particularly popular in Düsseldorf, although its online presence isn’t exactly impressive…

As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
