Swanson's Mountain View Orchard and Distillery
Swanson’s Mountain View Orchards was established in 1909 by my great grandfather Charles J. Swanson (originally Karl Johan Svenson). We have been a family owned and operated business ever since, growing apples in the heart of the Bitterroot on the valley’s east side, northeast of Corvallis. Now in our fourth generation of Swanson’s, we pride ourselves in bringing our customers the best flavored, highest quality apples in the northwest. We also provide the freshest, best tasting cider available. Come visit us during our main harvest season from September through November and see a real family run operation in progress as well as to pick up a taste of the Bitterroot. Swanson’s apples and cider are available at these fine retail stores in the Bitterroot and Missoula as well as direct from us either at our warehouse, the Missoula Farmers Market or at Hamilton Apple Days.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
