At least that’s what Joe Schweigerer thought when he was looking for a name for his small brewery. The RÖMERBRÄU was created in 2014 precisely because there was not only a building from Roman times behind the Schweigerers’ farm in Oberhofen, but also because an old goods transfer route also ran past, on which a wagon wheel preserved as petrification can now be found.
From Römerhof, Römerweg and Römerstein, only the RÖMERBRÄU could be created, whose logo features a Roman warrior in memory of history.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur.
