Brewery D’Oude Maalderij was founded in 2011 in Koolskamp.

In a place where grain was milled and mixed for decades, the first brews were created in a small brewing installation. Nights long, like obscure alchemists, they worked on new recipes.

To this day, D’Oude Maalderij continues to practice the age-old tradition and masterful art of brewing with sincerity and honesty.

Only by using authentic products are new, pure and untouched beers created step by step.

In the autumn of 2012, brewery d’Oude Maalderij proudly presented its first unique and fully finished beer; the Qantelaar.

In September 2015 we proudly opened our own café:

‘Estaminet De Brouwerij’ in Izegem

In the spring of 2016, our own 10HL installation will be put into use in Izegem.

In 2017 and 2018 we were named the best brewpub in Belgium.

On May 1, 2019, we switched to a café and put our kitchen into use to be able to serve you traditional Flemish dishes.

It is of the utmost importance for D’Oude Maalderij to always take the stirring stick in hand when creating these brews, in order to safeguard the quality of the beer and to ensure that only high-quality ingredients are used and that all processes are carried out correctly.
