Shanghai’s first microbrewery, Bund Brewery, opened up in 1994, and as of 2016 they’re still kickin’. Don’t go here expecting a beer-lover’s paradise though — their two kinds of home brew (dark and lager) are far from greatness. The vibe is a bit strange, like it’s stuck in the early 2000s. They also serve some bar food like fries and chicken wings. Perhaps if you’re trying to trying to map the history of Shanghai’s craft brew scene this is worth stopping by, but otherwise you’ve got much better options for beer.
