Sedly and Mirunka are long-time friends who share a passion for beer. However, their professions are completely different. Mirunka is a midwife and Sedly is a machinist.

The first impulse to brew beer was given by Sedly’s closest friends in the form of a gift. A pottery course at the University of South Bohemia. When they came across beer after two months, they discovered that it was simply beer. Delicious, with everything.

And so it began. Experiments in a small workshop. A gas stove, a pot, a strainer with a perforated sheet, hoses, a primitive cooler.

Almost every Friday, the workshop was transformed into a brewhouse and in two years, a total of 65 brews were successfully made. And since “appetite grows with food” and in this case “appetite grows with thirst”, there was simply not enough beer to be brewed. The word got around and these two enthusiasts began planning a larger brewhouse, which they built in the garage in seven months. The microbrewery now has a two-vessel 250l brewhouse, a duplicate CK tank, three lager tanks and a cooling box. They completed their retraining as a brewer and brewer’s assistant and founded the company DOUDLEBEER s.r.o.

They are simply those who brew beer with love, those who have fulfilled their dream.
