Minipivovar Eden Centre
The history of the Eden center dates back to the 15th century, when the area was not yet called the Eden center, but was just an ordinary farm.
In 1495, the brothers Vilém and Vratislav of Pernštejn left their farm to the city of Bystřice for a regular payment.
In 1731, the Mitrovský family entered the Bystřice region and Arnošt Matyáš Mitrovský of Mitrovic and Nemyšle bought the combined estates of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem and Dolní Rožínka.
In 1815, Vilém Mitrovský began rebuilding the farm into its current form of a closed four-winged farm with a two-story mansion building, two side stables, brewery wings with cellars and buildings for stewards and servants. The name Nový Dvůr gradually became established.
The Mitrovský family owned the building until 1923, when Vladimír II. Mitrovský sells half of his property, including the large estate Nový Dvůr, on the basis of the land reform.
The estate is taken over by the Cooperative for the Improvement of Livestock and Crops. A model estate is created, focused on breeding Bernese-Hanak spotted cattle. A modern station for cleaning grain and linseed was also established here.
Since 1949, the Nový Dvůr building and its land have been incorporated into the Czechoslovak State Estates as a nobleman’s station. In the post-revolutionary period, apartments are also built on the estate, and at the end of 1959, two semi-detached houses are even built right in front of the estate. In 1990, the Nový Dvůr building is handed over to the then agricultural school in Bystřice for use as a school estate.
In 2000, the school management begins preparations for the reconstruction of the neglected estate, and the plans gradually mature into the Eden center. The investor is the city of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, the project partners are the VOŠ and SOŠ Bystřice nad Pernštejnem (the center serves as a practical workplace for schools) and ECEAT, the European Center for Ecology and Tourism.
In 2010, the Bystřice region won the EDEN-European Destinations of Excellence award.
In September 2012, the Eden farm began operations, and in 2013, the construction renovation of Nový Dvůr began. The Eden center project, a strategic project of the Vysočina region in the field of brewing, could not have been created without significant support from European funds, the passion of the partners, and the courage and vision of the representatives of the city of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem.
