Since the Scheidtweiler family took over in 2009, output has increased annually.
This was achieved, among other things, by expanding the product range to include different container sizes. In particular, the introduction of the Naturradler and Weizen Grape beer has made a significant impact on the beer mixes. We also brew and bottle MAULBRONNER KLOSTERBRÄU – available as a light or dark beer.
Since April 2014, we have had a “Beer of the Month” in our range – a rotating beer specialty, of which only one batch is brewed at a time. The monthly beers have been met with positive feedback, as they appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Among other things, we have had a Märzen, a Summer Ale, and the Rote Eiche – beers that also cover the craft beer sector. All beers are brewed according to the German Purity Law and bottled exclusively in Eppingen.
Only high-quality raw materials are used for all our beers. The hops come from the Hallertau region and Tettnang on Lake Constance. Malt suppliers include Durst Malz from Bruchsal-Heidelsheim, Best Malz Heidelberg, and Schwabenmalz Laupheim.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
