Brewery founder Johann Auer acquired in 1887 from a competitor for 50,000 Mark a 29,000 sqm plot near the new Rosenheim station and founded in 1888 the Auer brewery. For the technical equipment of his company he invested for those terms the enormously high sum of 320.000 €. From 17 September 1889 the Auerbräu beer was brewed in the new enterprise on the Münchener road.
This is how the success story of today’s Auerbräu GmbH, which has been an integral part of Rosenheim’s culture, tradition and history since 1889, began.
The Auer brewery as a Rosenheim-based company with a long tradition has always been keen to actively support the catering industry as well as projects, institutions and associations in the region.
Not forgetting the effort for nature and the environment.
For example, Auerbräu participates in the EC-wide system for environmental management and environmental auditing and supports the project Auerhahn of the TU Munich as well as the Geo-Park Wendelstein. These are efforts that benefit our beautiful landscape and therefore the people of the region.
Auerbräu is today a brewery with full assortment and a guarantee for fresh products and excellent service.
