In our rustic inn we spoil you with traditional Franconian cuisine as well as fish specialties from the Steigerwald (trout, carp, etc.). You can enjoy our tasty beer in the sunny and cozy beer garden right in front of the house.
If you feel like more, you are welcome to spend the night in our modern guest rooms. Then nothing stands in the way of a hike through the Steigerwald or a trip to the nearby world heritage city of Bamberg.
In our spacious and well-equipped banquet hall you can book events and celebrations of all kinds, such as weddings, birthdays or conferences/seminars, individually tailored to you. There is even a bar and a large stage available.
If you would like to take our fresh beer or other drinks with you, you can also use our small drinks market, which is located directly in the courtyard.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
