In the spring of 1617, the people of Amberg decided to found the “Amberger Weißbräugesellschaft” and to build a brewhouse in the city center to guarantee the supply of the best beer.
This brewhouse is still in operation today, since 1913 the beers of the Winkler family brewery have been brewed there – real craftsmanship, original from Amberg.
