Brauhaus Bad Wildungen
On the western edge of the spa town of Bad Wildungen lies the Bad Wildungen Brewery. Here’s how to find us: Directions The building is over 100 years old and located in the middle of the forest, which is why it was formerly known as the ‘Waldhaus’ (Forest House). You might still encounter this name on some maps or on the signs for the forest trails! Until 1991, it operated as a café. After extensive renovations and expansion, it became a brewery with everything a brewery needs, especially the brewhouse with its typical copper kettles. The owner produced ‘Wildunger Landbier’ (Wildungen Country Beer). The brewery was then, and still is today, one of the smallest brewpubs in Germany, which our A&V Brauhaus GmbH took over in 1997.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
