In the middle of the nature park Wildeshauser Geest, on the edge of the health resort Figure barley as raw material for Bannas BierWildeshausen, lies the private brewer Thomas Bannas. The founder Thomas Bannas is brewing and master malting in the 3rd generation. He has fulfilled his dream of bringing traditional beer brewing back to life after having worked for international breweries in Germany and abroad. The craft brewing art should be promoted and the variety in taste and impression of specialty beers in their originality rediscovered.
The brewery is located in the hall of a two-stand farmhouse from 1849. Their environment is characterized by rural flair and beautiful trees. In the immediate vicinity are the Lohmühle, a watermill from 1556, the Kleinknetener Steine ​​and the Pestruper burial ground.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
