Die Brauerei Blechschmidt wurde im Jahr 1483 gegründet. Der heutige Brauer ist Arndt Blechschmidt.
Die Brauerei Blechschmidt bietet auf Anfrage Führungen durch ihre Brauerei an. Weiterhin hat die Handwerksbrauerei Blechschmidt einen Heimdienst und einen Bierversand im Angebot.
Auf Anfrage ist Blechschmidt auch als Festausrüster behilflich.
Auf verschiedenen Festen ist die Brauerei mit ihrem Bier anzutreffen, wie zum Beispiel auf dem Bierfest Treuener Hutzentage sowie auf dem Treuener Schlossfest (jedes 2. Wochenende im August).

The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
