Kirschenholz
Kirschenholz is an idyllic country inn located in Holstein Switzerland, right in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein. Our opening hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Hot meals are served from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM from Friday to Sunday (from 5:00 PM from January to March). Enjoy traditional dishes and attend our varied events. And if you’d like to stay a little longer or are just passing through, we can offer you our vacation home with three spacious holiday apartments. In our farm shop, you’ll find preserved Holstein specialties, among other things. Our special highlight is our own brewery, where “the first Low German beer” is produced and served.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
