Vereinsbrauerei Apolda
The Vereinsbrauerei Apolda celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2017. In 2012, a brochure was designed on the occasion of the 125th anniversary. This makes it one of the oldest companies in Apolda at all and thus firmly rooted in the city and an important part of their economy. On October 1, 1887, the Vereinsbrauerei Apolda Aktiengesellschaft was registered in the commercial register of Apolda.

The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
