Jones Road Distillery
This is a silent distillery in Dublin. It was one of the last whiskey distilleries to be built by Dublin Whiskey Distillery Company (later known as DWD). The Distillery was situated at Clontarf near the River Tolka in northern Dublin. In 1886 it used to be the most modern of the Distilleries in Dublin. The Whisky was sent to England, and was also shipped the Colonies. In later years the distillery joined William Jameson‘s Marrow Lane Distillery and Roe Distillery of Thomas Street to form the Dublin Distilling Company Limited (DDC). Tn 1926 the production ended mostly, it was bottled at Jones Road until ca. 1942. Later, most of the buildings were demolished.
