The Telser Distillery Ltd. in the municipality of Triesen is the oldest distillery in the Principality of Liechtenstein. According to documents from the Federal Alcohol Administration (EAV), it has been producing spirits since 1880. The former family business was initially known as “Telser Distillery”, but in 2006 it was converted into a stock corporation. Since 2006, in addition to traditional fruit and root spirits, she has also been producing single malt whiskey. A London Dry Gin was launched in 2014.
Even today, the fourth generation still fires with wood, sets the distillate to drinking strength and fills the bottles by hand. Between 2004 and 2008, the distillery won a total of 30 gold medals at the Swiss Schnaps Forum and the title of Schnapps of the Year in its category three times.
