El Segundo Brewing
El Segundo was founded over a love of hops and a desire to brew beer as delicious as what was being done down in San Diego… because we just couldn’t find it close enough to home. In a garage, behind the Blue House, Rob cut his teeth on his home-brew kit for a decade.
In 2010 we leased the space we now occupy at 140 Main St. It was a meager start with just the capacity to make 60 bbls a month. Now we make over 400. Focusing on hops was always the plan, but as we obtained access to the hops we wanted, we found our customers just couldn’t get enough.
So we just kept making IPA and DIPA, after IPA and DIPA.. we haven’t looked back yet.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
