Alpine Dog is a term coined for Coloradans. While we do love our dogs, this term goes deeper than that. It is a reflection of the people. In Colorado we love the mountains. It’s where we go to play; it’s where we go to exercise, relax, make friends and have fun getting away. Whether it’s crushing single track on a mountain bike, shredding the slopes on skis or a snowboard, hiking one of CO’s 54 14ers, or just enjoying a brew and a view: we are the Alpine Dogs because of our passion for the high country!
At the brewery, we strive to extend that passion to our beer. We want to be sure to share our passion with all the folks who believe a great beer is the perfect complement to life in our great state and beyond. We maintain the adventurous, independent spirit in life and brewing with big unique beers, an affinity for hops, Belgian style ales and an uncompromising attitude about settling for nothing but the best beer possible.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
