When we opened our doors on August 31, 2006 at 3pm, we had no idea the community our beer and food would create. Affectionately known as the ‘Wood, it is our goal to provide you with a unique tasting experience that will keep you coming back time and again. Whether it’s your first or your thousandth visit, we thank you for choosing the ‘Wood! Located in the Hayes Center Shoppes 45689 Hayes Rd. N of M59 at Lakeside Blvd. We handcraft a variety of beverages including beer, wine, seltzer, mead, cider, and more! Sherwood Brewing Company is proud to be the recipient of WDIV’s “4 the Best” award for Best Brewpub for 12 consecutive years (2007 – 2018), Best Mac & Cheese in Macomb 2021, and Best Brewery in Macomb 2018-2021.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
