180 miles north of the Twin Cities and 65 miles east of Fargo may look like a strange place to brew great beer at first blush, but tiny (Pop. 3,000) Perham MN is home to Disgruntled Brewing. And Disgruntled is all about brewing great world-class beer.
One taste and you’ll know this is Midwest brewing at its finest—skilled, artful Midwest brewing. The kind of Midwest craft brewing that’s drawing attention worldwide. Beer-flavored water from St. Louis Missouri this is not.
The Disgruntled Brewing formula is simple: Give our slightly-gruff, admittedly never-quite-satisfied brewery the world’s best ingredients, then stand back and marvel as we produce one great beer after another. Ales. Lagers. Stouts. Wheat beers. Specialties. Seasonals. German. Belgian. Russian.
This is craft brewing set in a beautiful part of the state—a destination well worth the trip—love at first taste.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
