Muddy Creek Brewery
Muddy Creek Brewery closed in January 2020 due to fire. MCB was located in the heart of Uptown Butte in the Daily Post Building on the corner of Main and Galena. We featured some great beers with wonderful back stories. Several of our beers were served on nitrogen lending extra richness and flavor.
At Muddy Creek Brewing Company we loved to relax. We had great friends and great times. Our passion was to craft wonderful beers to serve our friends in a comfortable, rustic tasting room. Whether you were sipping Muddy Creek Chocolate Stout, Dirty Blonde Ale, No Paddle Amber, or Seeing Other People Special Bitter you were sure to have a great time floating down the creek listening to the music and visiting with your friends.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
