Fifteen years ago Quarry Brewing became Butte’s first local brewery to open its doors after a thirty-five-year absence. We have worked hard to always create a variety of ales that will please every beer connoisseur and domestic beer drinker alike. We offer a regular assortment of favorites that many of our local Mug Club Members enjoy, as well as a great selection of seasonal brews that are rotated to please everyone who walks through our doors. We are family-friendly and have a quaint little play area for your children to enjoy while you relax with one of our great selections of beer. They will love our fresh-popped popcorn with a nice cold mug of the root beer or orange cream soda that we also brew on-site! Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
