Argyle Brewing Company
The owners of the Argyle Brewing Company: Chris and Rich, would like to welcome you to enjoy the ales of the first New York Farm Brewery in beautiful Washington County. Together we are dedicated to making the best craft beers you will drink in Washington County, or anywhere else.
Although both Rich and Chris have ties to the Town of Argyle, the Argyle Brewing Company is located in the neighboring Village of Greenwich, New York. Why Greenwich and not Argyle? For starters, the Town of Argyle is dry. Hence our slogan, “Dry Town ~ Wet Basements”. Also noteworthy, prior to the year 1803, Greenwich was a part of Argyle; so you might say that we are just trying to reclaim Greenwich one pint at a time.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
