Eastside Distilling has been producing high-quality, hand-crafted spirits in Southeast Portland’s Distillery Row since 2009. We believe that locally-produced spirits simply taste better, and all of our unique products are made right here in Portland, Oregon from natural ingredients in small batches for unparalleled quality and taste.
Eastside Distilling introduced Below Deck Rums, the first in a series fine and flavored rums in 2009, and has since launched several more award-winning spirits, including: Burnside Bourbon, WORLD FAMOUS Burnside Oregon Oaked Bourbon, Portland Potato Vodka, Marionberry Whiskey, Cherry Bomb Whiskey and small batch seasonal products like our Holiday Spiced Liqueur, Peppermint Bark and Egg Nog Liqueurs. Our Lab Series includes such notable items as Pink Potato Gin and Bier Schnapps distilled from local craft beer. Each batch = different brew!

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
