Cox Brewing Company (CBC) is a veteran-owned brewery located in Elizabethtown, PA in the village of Rheems where owners Nick Cox ( Master Brewer) and Tim Kreider (Head Brewer) grew up together before heading into military service. Nick’s casual obsession with brewing started in 2006. So much so, that when his military unit deployed he mailed most of his brewing equipment so he could use his days off from missions to brew. Tim, a craft beer advocate, homebrewer and craftsman, with 15 years in the food and beverage industry discussed combining their skills one day and open their very own brewery. Fast forward nearly 10 years and hundreds of weekend batches later, these “brothers” have shared an appreciation for great craft beer and have challenged each other to establish a first generation family legacy one barrel at a time. After two years Cox Brewing Company officially opened April 3, 2015 and as life would have it, the very building that CBC occupies, Tim built when he was 14 years old with his father, brick by brick. CHARITY Nick and Tim are both very active in veteran organizations and it’s important to them, rather a permanent responsibility, to do more than just make great beer. CBC has committed to raise awareness about veteran organizations and in doing so, every year CBC will donate a portion of its time and earnings from the military branded beers to Veteran organizations.

Our Brewery open for production in April of 2015. By late June of 2015 our tasting room opened to the public.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
