Imagine driving up to a gorgeous Italian style villa in anticipation of drinking a nice cool glass of Pinot Grigio paired with a mouth-watering pasta dish, watching the sun set over a gorgeous vineyard. Now imagine where you would have to be to enjoy this. Tuscany? Napa Valley? How about Kutztown, PA.
Back in 2000, Rodolfo Folino purchased 54 acres in rural Kutztown on Rt. 78 with hopes of developing the land for homes. After 7 years of spending money and time on a project that clearly was not going to happen due to township and environmental regulations, his only hope was to try and resell the land as farm in order to recoup a portion of the money he had spent. One evening, Marco and Andrea Folino were relaxing and reading when they came across a story of a husband and wife who opened their own winery. They talked about what a fun and exciting venture that would be when a light bulb went off in their heads. Our family has a combined 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry, all of which have been successful ventures. Marco’s grandfather also had a vineyard in Italy in his early years of life. To bring these two elements of our family history together made perfect sense.
Folino Estate is a vineyard, winery, restaurant, tasting room & gift shop, and banquet facility. From baby showers, to graduation parties, to bridal showers, weddings, milestone birthday parties, and retirement parties, we want Folino Estate to be the first place people come when a memory is to be made.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
