Dock Street Brewery

Founded in 1985, Dock Street Brewing Co. was the first microbrewery in Philadelphia and one of the first in the country. Today, Dock Street is a small artisanal brewery that finds its home in a magnificent historic firehouse on the corner of 50th and Baltimore Ave., in a progressive, eclectic and counter-culture neighborhood that reflects Dock Street’s philosophy. Dock Street has a rich brewing history, a reputation for exceptional quality, innovation and brewing distinctive beers. Dock Street continues to experiment and push the boundaries of the Craft Brewing movement.
In 2013, Dock Street Spirits was founded by Rosemarie Certo, Marilyn Candeloro and later joined by Regina Pfohl. Dock Street Brewery, founded by Certo, got out in front of the craft beer revolution in 1985 as one of the nation’s first post-prohibition microbreweries [with the likes of Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada]. Now, the troupe at Dock Street Spirits is full steam ahead in two other burgeoning industries: mezcal and craft spirits. Vicio Mezcal launched in Philadelphia in June 2014.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
