The Faust Hotel opened in 1929 as “The Traveler’s Hotel.” By 1920’s standards, the Faust was modern in its design and became an instant success, gaining a reputation as a fashionable tourist destination. the property was remodeled in the late 90’s to feature an updated bar, complete with brewing equipment. Today, the Faust Hotel & Brewing Company features 1920’s luxury and grandeur but incorporates modern amenities and comfort with newly designed guest rooms and suites.
Located in downtown New Braunfels, the Faust is within walking distance to Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Comal River and the New Braunfels Civic Center, and is centrally located between Austin and San Antonio. The Faust is also next to specialty stores, boutiques and antique shops, and is only minutes away from Gruene, TX, making it an ideal vacation getaway all year round!

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
