Located just a few miles north of Charlottesville, Yapita Winery is the newest winemaker to participate in the long tradition of Virginia fine wines.
Started by Tom and Jenny Becherer, natives to Albemarle County since 2005, they bring their love of culture, taste and travel to the art of winemaking. Their team has over 60 years of experience producing wine in France, Argentina and Central Virginia.
Yapita Winery currently produces Albarino Monticello, a winner of the 2025 Virginia Governors Cup Silver Medal, and plans to expand their selection over the coming years.
At Yapita Winery, you’ll find friends, animals, award winning architecture, vintage cars, plenty of wine and lasting memories.
