JBR Vineyards
JBR VINEYARDS AND WINERY is a boutique Virginia Farm Winery which specializes in two grape varieties uncommon in Virginia – Riesling and Pinot Noir. At an elevation of 1800, the vineyard is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Giles County. The Riesling is made in the traditional German style with a little residual sugar that is balanced by the high acidity of the Riesling grape. The Pinot Noir is a dry, robust wine. The grapes are estate grown and all wines are produced and bottled on the premises. Owners Jessee and Debby Ring returned to the area in 2005. Jessee is a certified winemaker by the prestigious University of California, Davis. The Rings focus on the customer experience with personalized, unrushed wine tastings.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
