King Lake Cellars
King Lake Cellars is a boutique winery nestled in the hilltops just outside of Duvall, WA. We source our grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the Columbia Valley and transport them to our 26 acre farm where wine making is a fun, festive family affair. We are committed to our farm to table lifestyle and are passionate about sharing great food, exceptional wine and priceless memories.
Our head winemaker Kal Shawish is an engineer by trade who began his fascination with winemaking in 2007 with a crate of cabernet grapes and a bathtub! Since then it has grown from a hobby to a passion that has taken front and center. Kal has since been studying winemaking and evolving into a refined and talented vintner.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
