Beer was brewed here from 1502 until 1950. The fate of the brewery in the following years is unknown. In 1995, the brewery was purchased by new owners in a dilapidated state. Since then, the brewery and adjacent buildings have undergone a general reconstruction, thanks to which a restaurant, apartments, a music club and commercial premises were created. The brand was revived in 2013, but the first beer brewing in the Poděbradský brewery took place in 2017. The Poděbradský brewery began to forge a new stage in the life of its beer under the Poděbradský Zdroj brand. In its permanent offer, the brewery brews beers 11, 12, 14, IPA and ALE. The beers can be tasted on tap in the adjacent brewery restaurant, by the glass and in PET bottles.
