For more than 600 years, beer has been brewed in Frankfurt (Oder). Karthäusermönche developed and refined in the Frankfurt Guben suburb since 1396 the art of water, malt and hops to ferment beers. The history of the Bierstadt Frankfurt (Oder) shows that before 1939 27 urban breweries were still known as small and medium-sized enterprises. The brewing history of the city was interrupted in 1945 with the destruction and dismantling of the Frankfurt Ostquell brewery AG on Ferdinandsberg, the largest existing brewery in the city, and could only with the commissioning of the Oderland brewery (now Frankfurter brewery) in 1988 be continued.
The regional brands brewed today give the Frankfurter Brauhaus GmbH and the brewery location Frankfurt (Oder) their own identity. Beer needs a home! And these have found our brands as typical home beer brands in the state of Brandenburg.
