OUR STORY
We can all agree, it’s a great time to be a beer lover. There are more quality beers to enjoy than ever. More new flavors and interpretations of styles. And more people dedicating their lives to the craft of brewing. Culture Brewing Co began with their own long-time passion for beer. Culture’s three owners, John Niedernhofer (Owner), Steve Ragan (Owner/Brew Master) and Dennis Williams (Owner) began brewing together long ago. From their earliest brainstorms about taking things to the next level, the goal was always to create more than just great beer. Bringing their approachable style to the already rich community of the craft beer industry, they opened their brewery in February 2013.
THE BREWERY
Our modern and rustic microbrewery is the ideal showcase for our beer. The brewery is our tasting room, with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The tasting room features an inviting beer service counter, ample indoor and outdoor space for visitors with an ocean breeze. The tasting room’s 12-tap serving system (including Nitro) allows us to deliver a large variety of our crafted beers. The on-site Brewhouse is equipped with a 10 barrel Premier Stainless System including a boil kettle, mash tun, 5 fermenters and 3 brite/serving tanks. With our beers gaining fans every day, we couldn’t be more excited about what we’ll brew next, and who we’ll get to share it with.

Caroline Porsiel is a master distiller and liqueurist based in East Ellijay, Georgia. She founded House of Applejay, a fine spirits and liqueur distillery, in 2022 with her mother, Sabine, crafting award-winning products like Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, and Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. The distillery won a 2024 Best of Georgia Award and a 2025 Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for its Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur. As a founding member of the AMBRU Campaign, launched in 2020, Porsiel advocates for the global recognition of American Brandy and Rum. She continues to drive innovation in the craft spirits industry from her active distillery in the heart of Georgia’s apple country.
