Domaine Chandon was the first winery to be established in the United States by a French wine and spirits producer, Moët Hennessy. Today, Chandon is America’s leading sparkling wine producer, applying méthode traditionnelle techniques to showcase the ripe fruit and vibrant character of California.
Domaine Chandon initially planted vineyards in Mt. Veeder and Yountville and then quickly became one of the first to farm in Los Carneros. With this expertise, the winery expanded its portfolio to include still wines, including Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. It later added Cabernet Sauvignon made from grapes grown on the estate surrounding the winery and its hillside vineyards on Mt. Veeder.
