NightLife Brewing Company is the brainchild of two guys who grew up here in beautiful sunny Miami, who were tired of their great city being late to the craft beer scene. If Miami was going to be late to the party, it was sure going to make a scene when entering. Though how will Miami make a scene, or even change it? Simple, by being itself and letting people know how it evolved into being the Magic City.
This brewery aims to explore and promote the history of Miami, and not just of South Beach. Miami’s history goes deeper and farther back than what South Beach is today, and it was sculpted by remarkable individuals. Granted some of those individuals were nefarious people, but history of all nature is important. Looking back on our history will show us our pitfalls, our triumphs, how to over come adversity, and help us show our strong character. Trust us Miami has every bit as much character and flare as any city out there, and we are proud to show it off. Each one of our Flagship Beers will showcase a bit of Miami’s history and help us better understand how Miami and it’s nightlife were created. To guide us through all of the history we found three sisters that were willing to help and here they are:
First up is our Spitfire Redhead. This take on the classic Irish Red Style is supremely balanced between the use of hops and malt. Though what might catch you off guard are the spices that come up and make you want to go for two. The story behind this angry Redhead starts off with her sailing in the Caribbean as a rumrunner. She often found that Florida and its surrounding areas were good for hiding treasure, or losing it. Our Spitfire Readhead will help us better understand the importance that Florida and its surroundings had during the sailing age. From exploration to bootlegging, she’s got it covered.
Next up is our Gunfighter Blonde. This beer is a light bodied beer that used its hops to produce a crisp bite that rolls off into a clean finish. Even though she maybe light and soft don’t underestimate her. What’s that saying again? Oh yea “Too much of a good thing can kill you.” Well she does that, but also for the right price. This Tommy-gun sporting Blonde was often seen in the company of Al Capone, and helped carry out the Commissions will. Do you know what restaurant she would have frequented while here in Miami with Capone and Lucky Luciano? Well she’ll talk about what she can.
Last but not least, the big sister The Daring Brunette. This nut-brown ale is malt forward in nature. You can taste the nuttiness in the mid palate. The hops add robust character to the end mid palette and help finish out the beer. The reason for her being the big sister is because she was the most responsible one, and joined the fight for our country during WWII. She was trained right here in Miami. In fact, right on South Beach. Did you know that before the clubs of today that South Beach was one of the largest training facilities in America for the Army, and Army Air Core? She has some great stories about going out on the town in those days and about the war in general.
In fact all three ladies have amazing stories to tell, that really show us how far and magical our great city really is. The way we see it why not sit back, drink a great beer, and listen to a few good stories that show where you come from? They will also show us how today’s nightlife is just as amazing as our history.
All of our brews have history behind them that show how this city was built. All of them will enhance your nightlife with great stories to start off the night right. All of the will always make you want more of your NightLife, just like our Magic City. How do you live your NightLife?
