Kininvie Distillery
The Kininvie Distillery, one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland, began production on 4 July 1990. William Grant & Sons, in 2005, introduced a premium blended malt whisky called Monkey Shoulder, which is created from a mixture of single malt from Kininvie, together with single malts from the Balvenie and Glenfiddich distilleries, both of which are owned by William Grant & Sons. In 2010 the Kininvie distillery closed, but as it seemed reopened for some production in 2012.

The distillery has, to date, released only two single malt whiskies, the first a limited edition bottling called Hazelwood 105, which was bottled aged 15 years, the second being the Hazelwood Reserve released for the 107th birthday of Janet Sheed Roberts as a 17-year-old. It is part of the blended whisky called Monkey Shoulder.
